Task 01: Process

The diagram below shows one way of manufacturing ceramic pots

Sample Answer 1 :

The diagram illustrates the steps by which ceramic pots are manufactured.

In general, the production of ceramic pots involves nine steps, beginning with the collection of raw materials, to the colouring and decoration of the finished product.

Firstly, the raw material required to make the pots is mined from the earth and transported to factories. Once at the factory, the raw material is crushed, mixed with other ingredients, and placed into moulds. Once the material has been moulded to the desired shape it is then dried for approximately 4-6 hours.

Once the pot is dry, it is taken from the mould and placed in an oven and baked at around 1000 degrees Celsius. After the pots have been sufficiently baked , they are dipped in colour to decorate them and again fired (3) in an oven to dry the colour. The pots are then ready for sale or for use.

The picture reveals one of the viable methods of producing ceramic pots

Overall, it can be easily seen that the process comprises of eleven steps.

Looking into the diagram for more details, the process commences when raw materials are dug out of the ground by a machine called digger before being transported by trucks to a factory where the following eight stages will be conducted.

At the factory, the raw materials are crushed twice to become powder. The next step involves mixing the powder with water, then the resulted mixture is poured into moulds to form the shape of ceramic pots. After the moulds are then dried for 4 to 6 hours, they are assembled into clay pots. Afterwards, the clay pots are placed into an oven and heated at the temperature of over 1,000 degrees Celsius. The pots are then coloured before undergoing colour firing to become finished pots.

Sample Answer 3:

The diagram shows one of the possible ways to produce ceramic pots. Overall, there are a total of 11 steps in the process of ceramic pots production.

First, raw materials to make ceramic pots are dug out of the ground by a digging machine before being transported by a truck to a factory where the next 8 steps pots are followed to manufacture ceramic spots.

At the factory, the raw materials are crushed into powder by a machine. In the next step, the powder is mixed with water, and then this mixture is poured into moulds that form the mixture in the shape of a pot. Then, these moulds are dried from 4 to 6 hours to create assembled clay pots. Next, the clay pots are placed into an oven and heated at a temperature of 1000 degrees Celsius. Once they are ready, they are coloured and heated in another oven for colour firing. The outcome of this step is the final products which are finished ceramic pots.
